RANSOMES GET IT WRIGHT - CRUCIAL DRAW

From our Biased Correspondent:

The much maligned[???] selection committee was last night vindicated in their decision to make tactical changes for the crucial clash with East Bergholt.

Brothers Will and Tom Wright performed heroically to record 2.5 points against very strong opposition. With excellent support from the ever-reliable George/Bradley partnership (who collected 2 points) Ransomes were able to record a crucial away draw that could be the difference between staying up or being relegated. The two P’s, Potter and Prentice, battled manfully to record zero points.

The team held an impromptu meeting after the match in a local hostelry where the complexities of modern day badminton were discussed. Thanks to John Potter for buying the drinks and Richard for getting the crisps.

Quotes from those involved:-

“It was a good venue and they played with good shuttles, even Benji could have played here" [???]
Richard Bradley

“Don’t be ridiculous Richard” [???]
Neil, Will and Tom

“It was like World War III out there”
John Potter
